AN INNER SKIN MOISTURIZING WITH MOISTBOOM [NEW 2024]

ILEESH MOISTBOOM

To achieve true moisturization, it should be done from inner skin. In comparison to outer skin moisturization, inner skin moisturizing is more important because it improves the skin’s ability to retain moisture from within.

Moistboom is designed to improve the overall health and appearance of your skin by providing intense hydration and nourishment at different layers of skin.

What is Moistboom?

Moistboom is a moisturizing agent which contains 4 natural plant extracts that are known for their ability to promote skin health and moisture retention such as Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract (Bilberry), Pueraria Lobata Root Extract, Phragmites Communis Extract (Reed), Trifolium Pratense Extract (Red Clover).

Action Mechanism of Moistboom

1. Promoting Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Synthesis in the Dermis

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance in the body that is known for its ability to hold water and keep the skin hydrated. By promoting the synthesis of hyaluronic acid in the dermis, Moistboom can help to improve the skin’s ability to retain moisture from within.

Figure 3: The in-vitro efficacy test conducted has shown that Moistboom effectively stimulates and enhances HA production, with it increasing with higher dosages.

2. Increasing Water Distribution in the Epidermis

Aquaporin is the water channel protein located in epidermis to transport water in and out of the cells.  The lack of Aquaporin causes Psoriasis, Vitiligo and skin aging (reduced skin elasticity).

3. Improving Skin Barrier Function by Key Structural Protein:

The skin’s barrier function is responsible for preventing water loss and for protecting the skin from external factors that can cause dryness and damage. By improving the skin’s barrier function, it can help to retain moisture within the skin and improve its overall hydration.  Filaggrin is a filament-associated protein that binds keratin fibres to protect skin against infection, preventing allergen penetration while absorbing and holding water. The lack of filaggrin causes atopic dermatitis, skin dryness and irritation.

Figure 7: An in-vitro efficacy test on filaggrin expression has proven that there is significant increment in filaggrin expression, dependent on Moistboom dosage in human keratinocyte.

4. Improving Frontline of Skin Barrier Function

Loricrin is a major protein of corneocyte, protecting it against infection and responsible for skin hydration. It is located between cornified layers and hooks each other up. The lack of loricin caused skin dryness and atopic dermatitis.

Clinical Studies

Further clinical testing was conducted on 21 participants by applying serum containing 2% Moistboom twice daily.

Both tests have shown Moistboom to have greater moisturising effects than placebo on both lower and outer layers of skin

"Do you know that as age increases, the moisture level of skin changes? Therefore, the use of moisturizing ingredients in your routine is highly encouraged."
